Megastar Chiru was born in Mogultoor on 22nd August 1955 at 10 am. He was named as Siva Sankara Vara Prtasad. He did his intermediate studies in Ongole Junior College. He did his B.Com in YNR college of Narsapur. Later on, he wanted to become an actor. However, his father wanted him to finish studies. Therefore, Chiru has taken the easy way out by joining ICW and he started learning acting simultaneously. He joined acting school in 1971. A director called Raj Kumar has given Chiru a chance as an actor in a film called 'Punadi Rallu'. Later on, Kranthi Kumar as a producer offered him a role in the direction of K Vasu for the film 'Pranam Kharidu. Incidentally, Pranam Kharidu was the first film to be released. He got married to Ms. Surekha, daughter of Sri Allu Rama Lingaiah in 1980 when Chiru was 11 cinemas old. Allu Rama Lingaiah met Chiru first at the shooting of 'Manvoori Pandavulu'. Sri NT Rama Rao was the chief guest for the marriage. Chiru is known for his dare devil stunts. During the shooting of Sangharshana, he was injured while doing the climax. He went to London to get operated. He was also injured when he tried fighting using Tube light in Intiguttu. In Donga cinema, he gave the producer anxious moments while fighting on a wall on 11 storied building by balancing himself. In the latest 'Bavagaru Bagunara', he did a Bungee Jumping with the carefree attitude of a teenage boy. Megastar Chiru is going to celebrate his 47th birthday on 22nd August 2002. చిరంజీవి క్రొత్తగా ప్రజా రాజ్యం అనే పార్టీని స్ఠాపించారు. 2007 వ సంవత్సరం నుండి ప్రసార మాద్యమాల ద్వారా జరుగుతున్న చర్చకు తెరదించుతూ 17 ఆగస్టు 2008 తన రాజకీయ ప్రవేశ విషయాన్ని పత్రికా ముఖంగా ప్రకటన విడుదల చేసారు. 26 ఆగస్టు 2008 న (మదర్ థెరిసా జన్మదినం) తిరుపతి ఆవిలాల చెరువు మైదానం లో బహిరంగ సభను ఏర్పాటు చేసి తన పార్టీ పేరును, పతాకాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించటం జరిగింది.ఆయన రాజకీయ ప్రవేశంతో చేసే విధి విధానాలు ప్రకటించారు. ప్రస్తుతానికి సినిమాలు తీసే ఆలోచనలు ప్రక్కన పెట్టినట్లు ప్రకటించారు. త్వరలో ప్రజల వద్దకు యాత్ర కొనసాగించేందుకు సన్నాహాలు చేస్తున్నారు.

చెన్నై లోని ఫిల్మ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ నుండి డిప్లొమా పొందిన తర్వాత 1978 లో పునాది రాళ్లు సినిమా చిరంజీవి నటించిన మొదటి సినిమా. కాని ప్రాణం ఖరీదు ముందుగా విడుదల అయ్యింది. మొదటిసారి నిర్మాత జయకృష్ణ ద్వారా చిరంజీవికి ముట్టిన పారితోషకం 1,116 రూపాయలు. మనవూరి పాండవులు, మోసగాడు, రాణీ కాసుల రంగమ్మ, ఇది కధ కాదు వంటి సినిమాలలో చిన్న పాత్రలు, విలన్ పాత్రలు పోషించాడు.

ఎ.కోదండరామి రెడ్డి దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ఖైదీ సినిమాతో చిరంజీవి హీరోగా నిలద్రొక్కుకున్నాడు. ఇంకా రుద్రవీణ, చంటబ్బాయ్,ఛాలెంజ్, శుభలేఖ చిత్రాలలో వివిధ తరహా పాత్రలలో మెప్పించి మంచి గుర్తింపు పొందాడు. గాంగ్ లీడర్ సినిమా చిరంజీవికి బలఙయన మాస్ ఇమేజ్ తెచ్చిపెట్టింది. 1980, 90లలో రౌడీ అల్లుడు, ఘరానా మొగుడు వంటి వినోదాత్మక చిత్రాలు, ఆపద్బాంధవుడు, స్వయంకృషి వంటి సున్నితమైన పాత్రలతో వచ్చిన సినిమాలు కూడా విజయవంతమయ్యాయి. తరువాత కొంతకాలం చిరంజీవి సినిమాలు అంతగా విజయవంతంగా నడువ లేదు.

2007-2008 సంవత్సరాలలో చిరంజీవి రాజకీయాలలోకి రావాలని రాష్ట్రమంతటా ప్రదర్శనలు జరిగాయి. పోస్టర్లు వెలిశాయి.

మళ్ళీ 1990 దశకం చివరిలో వచ్చిన జగదేక వీరుడు అతిలోక సుందరి, హిట్లర్, చూడాలని వుంది సినిమాలు మంచి విజయాలను సాధించాయి. 2002లో వచ్చిన ఇంద్ర,ఠాగూర్ సినిమాలు తారా పధంలో చిరంజీవిని అత్యుత్తమ స్థానానికి తీసుకు వెళ్ళింది. ఇదే సమయంలో చిరంజీవి రాజకీయ రంగ ప్రవేశంపై ఊహాగానాలు విస్తృతంగా చర్చనీయాంశాలయ్యాయి. తరువాత వచ్చిన శంకర్ దాదా ఎమ్.బి.బి.ఎస్, స్టాలిన్ వంటి సినిమాలు విజయవంతాలైనా గాని సినిమా బడ్జెట్‌లు విపరీతంగా పెరిగి పోవడం వలనా, ప్రేక్షకుల అంచనాలు అతిగా ఉండడం వలనా, రంగంలో తీవ్రమైన పోటీ నెలకొనడం వలనా అంత పెద్ద హిట్‌లుగా పరిగణించబడడం లేదు.

తెలుగు సినిమా రంగంలో చిరంజీవిని మొదటి యాక్షన్-డాన్స్ మాస్ హీరోగా చెప్పుకోవచ్చును. అంతకు ముందు హీరోల సినిమాలలో ఈ అంశాలున్నా వాటికి అంత ప్రాముఖ్యత ఉండేది కాదు. ఇంకా ఈ ఇమెజ్ వలన చిరంజీవి సున్నితమైన పాత్రలు పోషించిన సినిమాలకు తగినంత ప్రాధాన్యత రాలేదనిపిస్తుంది.

Chiranjeevi (Telugu: చిరంజీవి) (born Konidela Siva Shankara Vara Prasad^[1] on August 22, 1955), is a popular Tollywood film personality. He has received the Padma Bhushan award, the second highest padma award bestowed by the Government of India. He is the only Tollywood actor to receive seven Filmfare Best actor awards. He announced his formal entry into politics on August 26 and founded the political party named Praja Rajyam.^[2]
